Keep your high tack vinyls sticking even in the cold - with our tips!

Winter is ongoing, and for many of you in colder climates, that means a new challenge: ensuring your high tack vinyls perform at their best, even when temperatures drop. TITAN is engineered for powerful and reliable adhesion.

Low temperatures can affect the initial tack of vinyl, making it slightly slower to grip surfaces. This does not mean your graphics won’t stick, it just requires a bit more attention during application.

The science of low temperatures

Adhesive polymers become slightly less flexible as temperatures drop.

Result? Initial tack is slower meaning the vinyl may take longer to “grab” the surface.

This effect is temporary; with proper technique, performance is fully maintained.

Practical application tips

  • Acclimate your rolls: Bring the vinyl to room temperature before use.
  • Prep surfaces carefully: Dust, oil and moisture reduce initial tack.
  • Apply steady, consistent pressure: Use your squeegee to fully activate the adhesive.
  • Be patient in extreme cold: Let the adhesive settle before applying tension.

By following these steps, you can maintain the performance and reliability of our high tack vinyls, even in cooler conditions. Winter applications don’t have to slow you down, a careful approach ensures your graphics stay put and look bold!

TITAN vinyls are designed to perform under pressure, in any environment. Even in sub-zero conditions, your graphics can stick reliably when you follow the right techniques.
